Who We Are

Oregon Quant Group is the University of Oregon’s student-run quantitative finance group. Our mission is to develop the next generation of quantitative researchers and developers: every analyst ships an annual research project, select teams take on client work, and everyone leaves with results to show and a network to take them further.

Mission Statement

  1. Oregon Quant Group (OQG) was created in 2024 to provide educational and technical resources for students who are interested in the quantitative finance field. Our student organization provides a space for students to take initiative and work on technical research projects to develop their skills both within the technical and professional fields. This organization has become a center for quantitative finance development, and sought out ASUO Student Organization recognition and funding.
  2. We consist of a group of students representing quantitative finance. Our goals are to create an educational and engaging club that benefits its active members, and the UO student body as a whole.

Executive Team

Oregon Quant Group is led by a 6-person executive team, each aiming to improve the group in substantive and pertinent ways. Each director brings distinct qualifications to effectively fulfill their roles.
